open position :: kitchen Manager

We are looking for a passionate foodie who can thrive under pressure but also loves a slow day to keep the kitchen organized + ready for a surprise inspection. 

We are not looking for someone who just wants to punch the clock - you must be excited to work for a growing business with passionate dreamers at the helm. 

If you LOVE cooking, are able to work flexible hours that include nights + weekends and can work in a fast-paced environment while remaining cool as a cucumber, we would love to talk to you!

Brass + Bone is an artisan cocktail lounge + venue located in downtown Perryville, MO with lounge expansion happening in fall 2023. 

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Food preparation for Artisan Cocktail Lounge 

  • Food preparation for catering + special events

  • Prepare specialty items such as bourbon cherries, simple syrups, etc. as needed

  • Curate weekly food + kitchen supply order

  • Collaborate in custom menus for special events

  • Collaborate to create new menu items for catering + Artisan Cocktail Lounge

  • Ensure kitchen best practices are followed by Brass + Bone employees

  • Create + maintain inventory of all food items + kitchen supplies 

  • Keep kitchen, butler’s pantry, dry storage, supply storage, cooler + freezer clean + in compliance with the Perry County Health Department guidelines 

  • Keep kitchen binder updated + organized

Qualifications

  • Strong preference for candidates who have worked in a professional kitchen

  • An ability to pivot + problem-solve

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • A passion for cooking + food in general

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand, lift + bend for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to bend + lift to 50 lbs.

  • Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion, movement + navigation throughout a bilevel venue

  • Must be able to remain focused in a fast-paced + ever-changing environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends + holidays
